THEMATIC AREAS: INDUSTRY, MACHINERY
The goal
ΤThe training program is aimed at prospective operators of forklift trucks (with a
maximum lifting capacity of 2,500 kg) and covers both conventional and electric
machines. The aim is to promote safe and efficient use, reduce accidents, and
enhance the reliability and competitiveness of professionals in the field. Upon
successful completion of the program, participants will be able to legally practice the
profession.
Thematic areas - Subject
In-person theoretical training of a total duration of 12 hours with the following topics:
- Legislation
- Health and safety at work
- Structure and operation of M.E.
- Types of movement
- Stability of mobile elevating work platforms
- Handling procedures
- Regular inspection
- Load handling
- Special loads
- Safe driving
- Environmental impact
Hands-on Training
Hands-on training lasts a total of 60 hours, conducted in suitable company
facilities, in a controlled laboratory environment with a trainer permanently
present, covering the following topics:
- Parking
- Stacking loads
- Dangerous spots
- Receiving cargo
- Understanding cargo
- Driving a forklift
- Driving and stacking exercises
- Transporting and properly placing cargo in the designated location
Who is it for
All individuals who work or wish to work in the field of operating lifting forklift trucks
and meet the following requirements:
- They are graduates of compulsory education in Greece or equivalent level abroad.
- They are at least 18 years of age
- They hold at least a Class B driver's license.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be certified in the use of:
- Forklift trucks (CLARK type) and other types of all systems and operations (except
electric). - Electric forklift trucks (CLARK type) of all types.
This certification is in line with the new legislation for Construction Equipment
Operators (M.E.), which requires practical proof of their knowledge and is
implemented through Ministerial Decision 46557 – Government Gazette 3350/B/12-
06-2024, entitled "Vocational training program for the operation of forklift trucks"
classified under "speciality 2" (lifting and transporting loads or persons).
