Description

Promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in retail workplaces in rural areas of the EU

The challenge

Many small local retail businesses do not have the right tools and knowledge to hire or serve people with disabilities. This creates barriers, both at work and in the daily lives of these individuals.

Our solution

MINDful creates a training program for retail professionals to feel confident and ready to support employees and customers with disabilities. The project offers knowledge, practical examples, and digital tools to make inclusion part of a store's daily operations.

Results & Impact

MINDful turns knowledge into action by giving retail professionals simple and effective tools for inclusion:

  • Report on inclusion in retail
Maps the challenges and needs of small businesses in Greece, France, and Spain based on 289 questionnaires and 30 interviews.
  • MINDful Training Program
Offers thematic modules on inclusive recruitment, workplace adaptation, respectful communication, and basic knowledge about disabilities.
  • MINDful Space Digital Platform
Includes self-assessment tools, training videos, and scenarios based on real-life situations.
