Valecia workshop for the GREEN NEW HOME project in Valencia, Spain!
After the first months of collaborative work, the Green New Home team is pleased to share the latest progress made in Work Packages 3 (WP3) and 4 (WP4), focused respectively on defining key soft skills and developing tailored training content for migrants interested in sustainable entrepreneurship.
As part of WP3, a common template has been designed and shared with the project partners to help structure and define soft skills and the associated learning outcomes in a coherent and consistent way. This tool aims to ensure alignment across all contributions, enabling each competency to be clearly described, framed in practical terms, and easily transferable. The document was reviewed by all partners, whose input contributed to its finalisation.
In parallel, within the framework of WP4 – Development of the Personalised Strategy Maker mobile app – the first two pilot contents have been produced, which will serve as the basis for the next phases of developing training resources:
- Strategic Scenario No. 1: A story-based example illustrating the journey of a Ukrainian migrant woman who starts a green micro-business in Poland. The scenario highlights the real challenges and opportunities of sustainable entrepreneurship from a migrant’s perspective.
- Personalised Strategy Content No. 1: A practical guide that translates the scenario into concrete steps and guidance for adult learners who wish to create their own sustainable business.
These contents will be reviewed by the consortium to maximise their impact through partners’ feedback.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that the first project workshop took place in Valencia, Spain, on 6, 7 and 8 October. This in-person meeting was an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration within the project. It was three days of intense work, during which collaboration, ideas and methodologies for implementing the project flowed, and the foundations were laid for the next in-person meeting in the beautiful city of Parma.
The project is moving forward steadily, combining research, practical knowledge and digital tools to support migrants and refugees on their path towards green entrepreneurship.
Stay tuned—more updates will follow soon.
