We are delighted to present the 5th Newsletter of the Go2Grove project, which outlines the project’s latest achievements and activities aimed at strengthening practical learning, inclusive training and knowledge transfer in the field of olive cultivation and olive oil production.
A significant milestone for the project is the completion of the Go2Grove educational video collection, which now includes 12 practical videos covering key aspects of olive cultivation and olive oil production. Through real-life examples and practical applications, the videos connect the educational content with actual working conditions in the olive and olive oil sector. They complement the Go2Grove Digital Training Manual and provide easily accessible learning materials for both trainers and learners.
This issue also highlights the Train-the-Trainers (ToT) activity, which took place in Larissa from 1 to 3 September 2026, with the participation of trainers and project partners from Greece, Italy, and Spain. The three-day meeting focused on inclusive and practical training approaches for refugees and migrants, preparing trainers for the next phase of the Go2Grove training programme.
Participants also had the opportunity to take part in experiential activities and educational visits, including a visit to Tsakiridis Olive Mill in the village of Pournari and the Museum of Thessalian Life in Elateia. These visits helped connect the training material with real production processes, agricultural practices, and elements of the local cultural heritage.
Go2Grove is now moving forward to the next phase of its activities, with a strong focus on the implementation and piloting of the training programme. Stay tuned for more news, activities, and opportunities to get involved in the project!
